Privacy policy

Last updated 21 September 2026

The short version. Daysworth keeps your counters on your phone and nowhere else. There is no account and no sign-up, and nothing is uploaded to us. We do not sell your information, and we never have access to what you are counting.

What stays on your phone

Daysworth is an offline app. Every counter you make — its name, its date, what kind it is, its tone, any photo you attach, the runs you have kept and the milestones you have already seen — is stored on your device.

All of it lives in Daysworth's own private storage on your device. It is not sent to Taco Inc, and we have no server that could receive it. If you uninstall the app, Android deletes that storage and the contents are gone, so keep a backup if you want to move to another phone.

Backups and sharing, when you ask for them

Daysworth can make a backup file of your counters and share a card for a single counter, but only when you ask it to, and you choose where each one goes. These files go where you send them. Once a file leaves the app it is covered by whatever service you chose to send it to, not by this policy.

Photos

If you give a counter a photo, Daysworth copies it into its own storage and makes a smaller copy for the home-screen widget. It is read from your gallery or taken with your camera only at the moment you choose it. Daysworth does not look through your photo library, and the copies never leave the device.

What other companies collect

The free version of Daysworth shows a small banner advertisement on some screens, and the app reports anonymous usage and crash information so we can tell what is broken. Those parts are run by Google, and Google collects information through them. This is the only information about you that leaves your phone because of Daysworth.

WhoWhat forWhat they collect
Google AdMob The banner advertisement in the free version Device information and your device's advertising ID, roughly where you are (from your IP address), and whether an ad was seen or tapped. Used to choose which advertisement to show and to measure it.
Google Firebase Analytics Counting which screens are used, so we know what to improve Events such as "a widget was added" or "the offer was shown", with a randomly generated app instance ID, plus the device model, language and country. No words you wrote are ever included in an event.
Google Firebase Crashlytics Telling us when the app crashes What the app was doing when it stopped, the device model and the version of Android.
Google Play Billing The one-time Pro unlock Google handles the payment. We never see your card, your name or your address — only whether this device has bought the unlock.

Google's own privacy policy covers what it does with the above: policies.google.com/privacy. You can read about how Google uses data from apps that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Advertising consent

If you are in the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area or Switzerland, Daysworth shows you Google's consent form before any advertisement is requested, and your choice is honoured. You can change it later from the privacy options in the app. Buying the Pro unlock removes advertising altogether, and the advertising code is then never started.

Turning the rest off

Android lets you reset or delete your advertising ID for every app at once, under Settings, Privacy, Ads; deleting it stops apps being able to build a profile against it. Uninstalling the app stops all of the above.

Notifications

Daysworth can tell you on the morning of a milestone, and count down to a date you are waiting for. They are produced by your phone from what is already stored on it. Nothing is sent anywhere to make them happen, and you can turn them off in the app or in Android's settings.

Children

Daysworth is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided information through the app, write to us and we will help.

Your rights

Because what you write never reaches us, there is nothing on our side to show you, correct or delete: deleting it on your phone, or uninstalling the app, is complete. For the information Google collects, Google is the controller and its own tools and policy apply.

If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, data protection law gives you rights over your personal information, including the right to complain to a supervisory authority — in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes and the new version appears here before the release it applies to.
